Our Dentists
Meet our talented doctors at Aesthetic DentaCare – Namao Centre: Dr. Shainoor Kanji and Dr. Ting Shu.
Dr. Shainoor Kanji
Originally from Tanzania, Africa, Dr. Shainoor Kanji earned her Bachelor of Dental Science degree (B.D.S.) from Liaquat Medical College, Pakistan in 1989. She was one of the top ten graduates in her class. In 1990, Dr. Kanji immigrated to Canada with her family. She went on to earn her Master of Dental Medicine degree in 1995 from Tufts Dental School in Boston, Massachusetts. She received honors in fixed prosthodontics and was named to the dean’s honors list. Until 2001, Dr. Kanji practiced general dentistry in Boston, where she provided dental services to trouble teens via a mobile unit.
Dr. Kanji has been with DentaCare since 2003. She believes in complete patient care, and she is passionate about full-mouth cosmetic dentistry and its power to change patients’ lives. She has pursued extensive training to learn modern dental techniques and to keep up with the current demands of the profession. Dr. Kanji has also completed her Invisalign® Dental Certification.
In addition to her work as a dentist, Dr. Kanji loves to travel and has been privileged to spend time traveling around Africa and Asia over the past few years.

Dr. Ting Shu
Dr. Ting Shu was born and raised in China. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Dental Sciences degrees in 1999 from West China University of Medical Science, Chengdu, Sichuan. In 2002, she moved to Canada and began studies in the Advanced Placement Program D.D.S. at the University of Alberta. After completing the program, she joined aesthetic DentaCare – Namao Centre in 2006.
Dr. Shu believes in gentle and compassionate dental care for her patients. She pays meticulous attention to detail and strives to deliver the quality dental work that everyone deserves. Dr. Shu believes that providing exceptional dentistry demands a life-long commitment to the learning process, and she is enthusiastic about continuing to enhance her knowledge of the latest dental tools and techniques.
In addition to English, Dr. Ting Shu is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Outside of practicing dentistry, Ting and her husband, Andrew, enjoy spending time with family and friends. They have also traveled extensively in Asia and across Canada.
